The new Uber Visa Credit Card issued by Barclaycard offers up to 4% cash back in everyday rewards categories, a $100 bonus after $500 in purchases, a $50 online subscription service credit each year, and up to $600 in mobile phone protection with no annual fee.
Even though the Uber Visa Credit Card is obviously associated with and targeted to Uber users, it makes a great cash back earning credit card option for anyone, due to the variety of cash back categories and redemption options available to cardholders, so you don’t necessarily have to be an everyday Uber rider in order to benefit from this card.
You’ll earn 4% cash back on dining (including restaurants, takeout, bars and UberEATS), 3% on hotels and airfare (including vacation home rentals like Airbnb), 2% on online purchases (including Uber, online shopping, video and music streaming services, and third-party online payment services), and 1% on everything else.
Plus, you’ll get a $100 bonus (10,000 points) after you spend $500 on purchases within the first 90 days of opening your new card account.
You can redeem your earned points for Uber credits starting at only 500 points for $5, or you can redeem your points for cash back or eGift Cards starting at 2,500 points for $25, so the rewards redemptions on the Uber Visa Card are very flexible and useful even if you don’t regularly use Uber.
