If you’ve lost track of all the subscription services that are registered with your credit card, you can easily find and cancel unwanted credit card subscriptions with the free Trim service.
Trim finds all the subscriptions on your credit card or debit card, like Netflix, LinkedIn Premium, and forgotten credit reports, sends you a list of them in a text message, and then cancels the ones you don’t want.
The Trim service is entirely free to use.
Trim is a great service to avoid paying unwanted subscription fees, especially if you like to try a lot of “free trial offers” that are difficult to cancel otherwise.
How Trim Works
1. Sign up for a free Trim account.
2. Verify a confirmation code that they send you via your cell phone.
3. Connect your credit card with Trim to review your current subscriptions.
4. Receive a text from Trim listing your subscriptions.
5. Reply to that text indicating which subscriptions you want to cancel.
Please note that you have to provide your bank’s online account log-in credentials in order to review your credit card subscriptions.
If you would rather submit transactions manually, you can email a recent credit card bill to Trim, but you could easily review your own credit card bill in that case as well.
You can add multiple credit card accounts for review to make sure that you don’t miss any of your subscriptions on different cards.
Trim is absolutely free to use, and it’s an easy way to save some money if you have forgotten credit card subscription charges that you want to avoid.
